Den här helgen har det verkligen varit ett fantastiskt höstväder med mycket sol. Trots lite magont och migrän så har det varit en bra helg med brasa, god fika, film och lite trädgårdsarbete. Löven i trädgården har vi räfsat upp, om än kanske förgäves då eken inte behagar släppa sina löv, utan hela trädet är grönt fortfarande. 🙂
This weekend has given us fantastic autumn weather with a lot of sun. Despite some stomach ache and migraine has it been a good weekend in front of the fireplace with nice coffee, a good movie and work in the garden. We have raked the leaves in the garden, maybe the work comes undone, the oak has not released the leaves yet they and it is still green and they do not seem to be on their way down any day soon. 🙂
Vi har sparat ekollon till ekorren och de större fåglarna i ett par hinkar och satt dem under tak ute så att det inte regnar i dem men att de ändå står svalt och torrt. Vi har en jättesöt ekorre i vår trädgård och han brukar gömma ekollon till vintern i gruset på vår uppfart. En gång såg vi honom ifrån bilen, han såg precis ut som den tecknade söta ekorren i Ice Age som springer runt med sitt ekollon, han försökte att trycka ner det i gruset men det är lite hårt där. 🙂 Det händer väl kanske också att han glömmer var han har gömt sitt vinterförråd så i år tänkte jag förse honom med det istället.
We have saved acorns for the squirrel and for the birds for winter, I have put it in two buckets and placed it outside under a roof so it doesn’t rain in them and to keep them dry and cool. We have a very cute squirrel in our garden that hides acorns for the winter in the gravel on our driveway. He looks like the little cartoon animal in Ice Age. 🙂 He probably also forgets where he puts them so this year I am going to provide him with them.
Vi har också skördat de sista tomaterna och lagt dem på ett fat i köket och hoppas att de får färg där. Det var många fler tomater än jag trodde, det var kul.
We have also harvested the last tomatoes in order to let them turn red inside in the kitchen on a plate in the sun. There where plenty left outside, so nice.
