Såg denna porten hos Våningen & Villan och den är så otroligt vacker! När man har tittat in i det vackra trapphuset blir man inte besviken. Hantverket från sekelskiftet är imponerande och det är så kul att se att det finns en hel del sparat fortfarande och inte sönderrenoverat. Det känns som ett härligt exempel på fin gammal arkitektur. Missförstå mig inte, allt behöver inte vara gammalt för att vara vackert, jag älskar verkligen modern arkitektur! Det bästa jag vet är när dessa två möts i en häftig krock, det jag inte gillar är när allting ser likadant ut. Tyvärr tycker jag att det ofta gör det när man ser nybyggda flerbostadshus idag, kreativiteten och nytänkandet är inte så starka som man tycker att den borde vara.
Människan är kanske inte mer komplicerad än att man vill ha samma saker som grannen. Det ser man ju även i nybyggda bostadsområden att människor väljer att bygga nästan likadana hus, är vi svenskar kanske lite för försiktiga? Det har pågått en arkitekturtävling i Göteborg just nu, där min favoritarkitekt Zaha Hadid var representerad trots att hon inte längre finns i livet. Tyvärr föll inte valet på hennes byggnad, utan på ett annat tävlingsbidrag som också såg bra ut. Däremot hoppas jag att Sverige snart vill följa med in i samtidens och framtidens arkitektur, men också att man inser värdet av nyskapande arkitektur. Dessutom kan ju faktiskt en häftig byggnad dra till sig besökare som annars inte hade kommit. Jag hoppas verkligen på det för jag vet hur duktiga vi är i det här landet och att vi kan!
I saw this gate at Våningen & Villan and it is so beautiful! Whou look inside the door into the stairwell it is just as beautiful. The craftsmanship from way back is so impressive and it is nice to see that it still around and has not modernized. Don’t misunderstand me, it doesn’t have to be old to be beautiful, I really like modern architecture! What I like the most is when the old meets the new, differences is very interesting. Many of the buildings that are built in Sweden today all look alike, it is as if creativity and new ways of thinking and designing in new ways aren’t as strong as they should be.
Or is it simply a question of people wanting what their neighbour wants? You can see that in that see the new built residential areas and the houses looks very alike, but I really hope it might change in the future. Recently there was an architectural competition for a new skyscraper in Gothenburg and my favorite architect Zaha Hadid had entered the competition. It would had been so cool if she would have won, which she unfortunately didn’t. Zaha Hadid is no longer with us but her work is amazing and I believe it will live forever. I hope that Sweden wants to be a part of the exciting architecture that is out there and to create more interesting building and houses. It is frustrating because I am certain that there is potential for so much more!
